Hi,
I have IC-A20 as spare transceiver in my aircraft. I would like to expand COM band freq. range from originally 118,000 - 135,975 to cover frequencies up to 137 MHz, since AIR band was extended to that frequency after those transceivers were made. I'm not sure is that possible, but if someone have any experience in such modification, I hope he or she will help.

Hiya Den
I don't know the answer to your question off the top of my head, but I will make a few enquiries to see what I can find out for you.

Hiya Den
I did a little detective work and came up with the information below (see the attached PDF document).
From what I can find out you have a Mk1 version of the Icom IC-A20, because the Mk2 version was sold already giving the upper end of the airband.
Have fun!

No problem Den
But don't thank me, thank the guys at Icom UK for the info.
I just did an edit of the information and added a few images to make thing easier to understand.
No doubt it will turn up on mods.dk as 'some elses' original work
Best 73, Mark.
