hi i am getting my tech class license Dec 13,and am going to buy a Kenwood ts-2000 i live in the California bay area

Thumbs up for your new license, and well done!

I use a TS-2000 at work as part of my arsenal of test equipment and I must say I can't really fault it at all. It's a very reliable workhorse.

I wonder if you're thinking of obtaining the version with the 23cm module fitted, or are you just a HF + VHF Op?
