Have been licensed since 1960, first as a novice KN3ROJ, then a conditional General license K3ROJ until discharged from the Army in 1962. Took the retest to eliminate the conditional in 1962. Eventually graduated to Extra Class in 2006 and am now a VE (volunteer examiner) with the AERO Amateur Radio Club in Middle River, Maryland. http://www.aeroarc.us Retired early in 1999 from the Lever Brothers Company in Baltimore.
Have tried many different radios over the years but have now settled down, using the Flex Radio 5000A which was a unique change but can never go back to turning a tuning knob again.
